Project Description: This proposal describes a collaborative 2-year implementation research study in Tanzania, to scale up Safe Delivery App (SDA) for improving the provision of care for maternal and newborn health in Tanzania. After a successful pilot of the use of the App in the Mpwapwa district Ifakara Health Institute in collaboration with the Maternity Foundation will work closely with the Ministry of Health, PO-RALG, regional and district health authorities in implementing the App in all of... This proposal describes a collaborative 2-year implementation research study in Tanzania, to scale up Safe Delivery App (SDA) for improving the provision of care for maternal and newborn health in Tanzania. After a successful pilot of the use of the App in the Mpwapwa district Ifakara Health Institute in collaboration with the Maternity Foundation will work closely with the Ministry of Health, PO-RALG, regional and district health authorities in implementing the App in all of the 9 zones in Tanzania. The scale-up is thus designed as a low-cost model, which would be effective and efficient in producing results and reaching scale by tapping into what is already existing.
